Executive Team

Pranika Kumar - Founder/Co-President

The founder and co-president of L4K, Pranika Kumar created Light 4 Kidz because she observed the growing issue of limited resources and funding specifically dedicated to children's healthcare worldwide. She realized that this presented a tremendous opportunity to make a difference and provide support where it was needed the most. A junior from Edina, Minnesota (U.S.A.), she’s involved in Speech & Debate, Math/Science Olympiad, and Model UN at school. She also plays flute and does Taekwondo. She hopes to pursue cardiology, oncology, or computational neuroscience.

Heidi Jeong - Co-President

Co-president and founding member of Light4Kidz, Heidi Jeong has helped build Light4Kidz in order to pursue her passion for medicine in a positive way. She is interested in neuroscience and is passionate about health equity and mental health! A junior from Atlanta, Georgia, Heidi seeks to improve health care policy and run fundraisers for the L4K cause. Currently, Heidi volunteers with a hospital and hospice care organization. She also enjoys crafting and sewing! In the future, Heidi wants to be a surgeon, specifically in the fields of neurology, pediatrics, or plastics.
